Solicitor Will Rogers cleared an officer who shot and killed a man in June.

Pageland Police Captain Clarence Francis shot Barry Louallen at a home on North Vine Street.

Deputies say Louallen shot his wife, Diane, to death. Diane was a sergeant at the Kershaw Correctional Institution.

When deputies got to the home, they say they asked Louallen to drop his weapon. He refused and Captain Francis shot him.
