Friday Forecast

What a difference a day makes! Yesterday's Summer warmth has been replaced by an early Fall chill.  A potent cold front that moved through overnight will bring cloudy skies, breezy conditions, and an increased chance for light occasional showers and drizzle. Get ready for much cooler conditions with highs in the 60s and 70s with lows in the 50s for Friday and Saturday. Sunday will finally see a little break from the clouds, showers, and chill. While mostly cloudy skies will still be around we may see a few rays of sunshine with temps finally returning to the low/mid 70s.

Maria was upgraded to a Hurricane over the past 24 hours but has passed far off of the East Coast and is no longer a threat to the US. We will continue to see an increased risk of rip currents today, but it will relax over the weekend..  Head over to our Tropical Update page where you can get the latest on the tropics. While you're there you can use our new Interactive Hurricane Tracker to track all tropical systems.
