There was a full house this afternoon as the community gathered to remember the 10 year anniversary of September 11.

The program used the arts to honor those who lost their lives.

This included performances from the Coker singers and the Hartsville Middle School Magnet chorus. Reverend Phil Thrailkill lead all that attended in a moment of silence.

"I think it's an opportunity for everybody to come together and remember the events of that day," said Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd.

Poetry and a variety of readings were also demonstrated. The tolling of the bell concluded the event.
