Marion County Coroner Jerry Richardson says a man died Monday when the tractor he was riding flipped over.

Richardson says the man left a store in Brittons Neck about 3:30 p.m. He was found about 5 p.m. on Henry Alford Road about two miles away.

Richardson says the tractor had a bail of hay on the front of it. The tractor left the road, flipped over, pinning the man between the tree and tractor. He says the tractor eventually flipped, killing the man.

The body was sent to Charleston for autopsy because the accident is work related.

Richardson is not yet releasing the man's name or where he worked, pending notification of the man's family.
