Dr. Henry Cobb, with Marlboro County Schools, says the Department of Transportation cut a water line about 10 a.m. Thursday, cutting off water to Clio Elementary/Middle School and School of Discovery.

Cobb says water was brought in from the High School so the cafeteria staff could clean up after lunch and the custodians could flush toilets after the children were allowed to use the bathroom. The school district also brought in port-o-johns.

He said they expect the water to be back on at the school Friday.
