(AP) -- A group worried about the effects of South Carolina's expanded cruise industry in Charleston has put up a billboard along Interstate 26, the main route into the city.

The billboard says "Save Charleston. Support Cruise Control."

It was put up this week by a group known as the Charleston Coalition for Cruise Control that wants tighter controls on the cruise industry.

Last year, the Carnival Fantasy was moved to Charleston, giving the city a year-round cruise industry.

The dispute pitting preservationists and neighborhood groups against the city, the State Ports Authority and Carnival is pending in state court.
