The United Way of Florence and Johnson Controls Incorporated launched Project HOPE Wednesday. HOPE stands for helping our people gain employment.
The program provides job training and job placement.
Johnson Controls donated $150,000 to the United Way for the project.
United Way hopes to help about 140 people get jobs in the first year.
