Monday Forecast

A front will push through the area late today and remain stalled out just to our south through Wednesday. With the front coming through today, we'll see the chance for a few scattered storms this afternoon and evening, then drying out over the next few days. With the front draped so close to the area we'll still see the slight chance for a few stray storms throughout the mid and tail end of the week. Temps will max out near 90 by the beach today and low/mid 90s Inland, but stay closer to the mid and upper 80s after the front pushes south.

We've been tracking Irene throughout the weekend and monitoring the track closely. It was upgraded to a Category 1 Hurricane as it passed over Puerto Rico early this morning. There is still a lot of uncertainty with the potential track as a 50 - 100 mile shift west or east would have large impacts on what our area could see.  Head over to our Tropical Update page where there are 3 scenarios painted out of the possible thinking on Irene. While you're there you can use our new Interactive Hurricane Tracker.

Today: Partly sunny, hot and humid. Few scattered storms possible.  Highs-Grand Strand: Around 90, Inland: Low/Mid 90s.

Tonight: Gradual Clearing, mild and muggy. Lows: Mid/Low 70s.

Tuesday: Mostly to Partly sunny, not as hot or humid.  Highs-Grand Strand: Nid 80s, Inland: Upper 80s.
