The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly shooting at Mohawk Carpet Industries in Blenheim. The shooting happened around 11:45 Friday night.

The victim is 31-year-old Dontae Hulon Jarvell Davis of Clio.

Lamond Christopher Ray McClellan, 24, of Latta is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Police say the suspect and the victim were co-workers at Mohawk Carpet Industries and got into an argument at work. The shooting happened in the bathroom area of the business.

Officials have not released why the two were arguing.

No one else was injured.

McClellan is still at large. Police say say he does not have a prior record but should be considered armed and dangerous. If you any information you're asked to call 911 or Marlboro County Sheriff's Office at 843-479-5605.

"This is a very tragic event in any respect but especially that it occurred when the victim was at work. The suspect put many lives in danger of innocent people who were not involved in the situation. It is a prime example of how reckless action and arguments can go too far. I hope and pray that we can arrest Mr. McClellan peacefully or that he will turn himself in soon," said Sheriff Fred Knight.

SLED assisted in the investigation.
