Conway police have charged Phillip Jones, 24, and Johnny Fraiser, 19, both of Conway in connection with an armed robbery at Szechuan Chinese Restaurant Tuesday evening.

Officers were called to the restaurant on Church Street around 8:30 p.m. for armed robbery. They say two men with a handgun robbed the business.

Officers in the area found and arrested the suspects at a home a short distance away after the homeowner called police reporting she heard a "loud bang" come from inside her home. The homeowner knew no one else was supposed to be in the home and hid in a bedroom with her child.

Jones is charged with Armed Robbery, Burglary First Degree, Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime and Kidnapping. Fraiser is charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Crime and Kidnapping. Fraiser will appear before a judge tomorrow morning for his bond hearing and Jones will have his bond set during the next term of circuit court.
