At midnight Friday the final installment of the Harry Potter series hits movie screens nationwide. The highly successful franchise is coming to a close after a decade of entertaining fans. Millions got their tickets ahead of time and one couple began waiting hours before the film debuted.

Since 6 a.m. Thursday morning, Eddie Geisler and his girlfriend Alexis Knight waited outside the Grand 14 Cinema at The Market Common.

"We're dedicated. It's not an obsession just dedication," said Geisler. Knight slightly disagrees, saying, "it is a little crazy I will admit that but it's fun."

While Geisler is a die-hard fan of the Harry Potter films, Alexis said she's here out of love. The two are in town for a family vacation.

"I was a little disappointed that I wasn't going to be able to see it at home with my friends so she had surprised me with tickets," said Geisler.

Camping out several hours ahead of an event isn't easy, but the duo are prepared. They have snacks, water, and entertainment. Previous Potter films of course.

"My Mom and my niece came and they brought us lunch so we didn't have to leave our post," added Knight laughing.

The two have gotten plenty of attention.

"You know you get to interact with everybody that's coming in and out of the movie theater whether it's employees, patrons, and it's just fun," said Knight.

After watching the movie, Geisler plans to read all of the books.
