JOHNSONVILLE, FLORENCE COUNTY -- Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly accident in Johnsonville.

It happened just before 4 p.m. Tuesday on South Railroad Avenue, on the dirt portion of that road.

Troopers say a GMC Envoy ran off the road, hit a tree, the car flipped, and the driver was killed.

Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews says Charles Collins, 39, died from injuries suffered in the wreck. Troopers say he was wearing a seatbelt.
