Myrtle Beach police charged Janelle Martinez, 24, with three counts of Filing a False Police Report.
They say Martinez filed a police report on February 6, 2010 claiming she was the victim of a kidnapping and sexual assault. Martinez told police two men would hold her down while the other raped her and they each took a turn.
Police interviewed Martinez and the three men and collected evidence for analysis. They say Martinez's story didn't add up.
On April 15, 2010, Martinez was confronted about the story. Police say she admitted that she was not sexually assaulted and she filed a false report.
On June 10, 2011, Martinez pleaded guilty to Filing a False Police Report and was sentenced to five years, suspended to time served and five years probation.
