Horry County police arrested a Green Sea man in connection with a house fire investigation.

Around 1:00 a.m. on June 21 Horry County Fire Rescue responded to Olive Drive in the Green Sea area of the county for a house fire.

At the scene, firefighters say they discovered "suspicious circumstances" and requested the assistance of Horry County police.

Officers say after an investigation they determined that the homeowner, James Duncan, intentionally set the fire. He was on scene at the time of the investigation and was taken into custody.

Duncan is charged with 3rd Degree Arson.
