Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley says a man found dead in a creek off of Stateline Road near the Hamer community is Archie Hunt of Robeson County. 

Last month, a couple of fishermen found what they thought was a body and called 911.

Officials say it appears that Hunt had been there for several months.

Investigators with the Dillon County Sheriff's Office tell us they're treating his death as a homicide.

They're working with investigators at the Robeson County Sheriff's Office to gather leads and determine the last known whereabouts of Hunt.
