The NAACP has filed a lawsuit against a North Myrtle Beach restaurant and bar, alleging discrimination against African Americans.

The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Florence, claims Molly Darcy's on the Beach refused to serve black visitors during the Bikefest rally, by closing during otherwise customary business hours. The suit claims the bar was open during similar hours for the spring Harley rally.

We left a message at Molly Darcy's and are waiting for a call back.

The lawsuit joins another filed last Friday against the Pan American Pancake and Omelet House. That suit claims employees of the restaurant told three black men that the restaurant was closed while it continued to serve white patrons.

The Molly Darcy's suit claims three bikers tried to eat at the restaurant during last year's Bikefest, but saw a sign posted on the front of the restaurant that said it was closed for renovations. The suit asks for $5,000 in damages for each plaintiff and member of the plaintiff's class.
