(AP) -- COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A redistricting proposal shows Horry County anchoring South Carolina's new 7th congressional district.

The plan released by state House lawmakers Wednesday also splits Greenville County between the 3rd and 4th districts. The plan also changes four state House districts and adds new ones along the coast and in growing suburbs around Charlotte.

The House held public hearings around the state in March and April and cut off public submissions Monday.

The draft goes to a subcommittee next week. State senators are still drafting their own redistricting plan for Senate and U.S. House districts.
