HTC (Horry Telephone Cooperative) service was restored to customers south of Conway to Aynor Friday morning.

The outage was a result of a failed piece of equipment at HTC's South Conway office Thursday afternoon.

Company crews worked through the night to fix the problem, according to Tom Vitt, with HTC.

Both business and residential customers were affected.
