SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Fifteen high school baseball players have been given suspensions for a fight during the Dorman and Boiling Springs baseball game last week.
The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reported that Dorman athletic director Flynn Harrellsaid five players have been serving a suspension since Friday's game. Harrell says four players were suspended for two games and one player received a one-game suspension.
Boiling Springs athletic director Bruce Clark says 10 players were suspended for two games.
The brawl started when a pinch runner was thrown out at home plate, sparking a fight between the players and both benches joined the scuffle.
The names of the suspended players were not released.
