A group dedicated to helping those who have lost a child held a special event today called "I love you I miss you" in Florence.

Participants released balloons inscribed with a personal message into the sky today at Creek Ratz restaurant.

Each balloon was filled with forget-me-not seeds.

The Compassionate Friends of the Pee Dee Area organized the event.

According to the group's Facebook page they are dedicated to "transforming the pain of grief into the elixir of hope."
