MYRTLE BEACH -- VisitMyrtleBeach.com is now the official title sponsor of the 2nd Annual NHRA Four-Wide Nationals competition at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

NHRA stands for National Hot Rod Association. The Four-Wide Nationals is the only event on the NHRA calendar that allows competitors to break from traditional two-wide racing to four-wide.

Scott Schult is the executive vice president of Marketing for the Myrtle Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. He was in Charlotte for the sponsorship announcement Thursday and said the partnership "is a great fit because both our organizations are about delivering family friendly experiences."

Also announced at Thursday's news conference, Myrtle Beach will be the official vacation destination of the Charlotte Motor Speedway and the zMax Dragway, where the Four-Wide Nationals will take place April 14-17.
