Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews says William Mitchell, 58, of Luverne, Alabama has died after an accident on I-95 in Florence County.

Matthews says Mitchell's tractor trailer ran off the interstate and crashed into some trees Monday afternoon.

He was taken to the hospital where he died Tuesday afternoon.

Matthews says doctors tell him it appears Mitchell had a stroke, and that's what caused him to run off the road.
