A big name personality and an expert in the kitchen is coming to the Grand Strand for this year's Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine and Spirits Festival.

Paula Deen will be hosting an hour-long southern cuisine cooking demonstration at the Alabama Theatre on Saturday, May 14, with a VIP meet and greet prior to the cooking demonstration for 50 fans.

General admission tickets for the Paula Deen cooking demonstration range in price from $50-$100. VIP tickets will be available for $300, which includes prime seating for the cooking demonstration and a cookbook signing with Paula Deen.

May 13 and 14, the Tasting Trolley will be making 10 themed stops with food, wine and spirits from along the Grand Strand at participating locations. Tickets are available for $75, which includes both days.

Coastal Uncorked Golf Tournament will be held at Myrtle Beach National's South Creek & West courses for $150 per person, or $400 per team, on May 12. This all-day event will include food, wine, and spirits tastings.

The festival will come to an end on May 15 with a Gala at the Marinna Inn at Grande Dunes. This finale event will include live entertainment, tastings and a silent auction. Tickets for this event are $75.

"We are excited about Paula Deen taking part in the 2011 Coastal Uncorked festivities, as she's sure to enhance the spirit of the festival and provide some great cooking tips for our patrons," said Candace Howell, executive director for Coastal Uncorked. "The trolley stops, gala and golf tournament are always exciting ways to show festival participants the extraordinary food, wine and venues the Grand Strand has to offer. Last year's event was such a huge success, we are eagerly awaiting May's arrival."

All funds raised during the festival will be used for future events and a portion will be donated to the Horry Georgetown Technical College Culinary School and the Clay Brittain Hospitality Program at Coastal Carolina University.
