The Darlington County Emergency Services Directors says he is anticipating possible power outages Monday because of the expected freezing rain in the afternoon.

Linwood Epps said in a release to the press Monday, "We encourage everyone to use "EXTREME CAUTION" when using alternative methods for heating and lighting sources. Please be careful with candles and other methods. The life you save may be your own."

Highway Patrol says roads are treacherous in the Pee Dee and you should stay home, if possible.
