Governor Mark Sanford will be out of job next month. He's served as South Carolina's head of state since 2003.
NewsChannel 15's Tim McGinnis interviewed Sanford on Monday. Sanford spoke about his tenure, including the effect the admission of his affair had on his time in office, and his strained relationship with the South Carolina House of Representatives and Senate.
While he isn't planning on another run for office, Sanford won't rule out the possibility saying, "Time will tell. That's sort of a catch-22 answer, because anything I say will be viewed... In other words, that's not my plan. It's not where I think I'm going in life, but what I learned in my life is 'never say never.'"
Governor-elect Nikki Haley will succeed Sanford when she is sworn into office on January 12th.
You can watch the entire interview with Governor Sanford on Carolina This Week, Sunday, December 19th at 9:00 a.m. on NewsChannel 15.
