Friday night, a champion outdoorsman from our area will be featured on a national television show.

Chad Weatherford from Loris won the 2010 Field and Stream Total Outdoorsman Challenge earlier this year.

Over three days, he was tested in events like fly and bass fishing, shooting, and archery.

He won $25,000 for the victory and will be featured in a special on the competition.

It airs Friday on the Outdoor Channel at 7:30 p.m.
