A baby found in a wooded area 2 years ago was remembered Thursday afternoon.

There are still no answers as to who Baby Boy Horry belonged to or why he was left wrapped in a plastic bag.

It was a somber afternoon at Hillcrest Cemetary where the baby was laid to rest. While those in attendance didn't know him, they say it was important for them to attend.

About two dozen people attended the memorial service. The group sang songs, said a prayer, and wished Baby Horry a Merry Christmas.

The baby's body was found in a wooded area off Meadowbrook Drive just down Highway 544 from the cemetery.

Many of those who attended have their own children and are sad that this baby's life ended so soon. "This little boy, in his brief life, has touched me and many people and it just breaks my heart that he wasn't given an opportunity to have a family and love and joy," said June Dreskin, who attended the service.

Horry County Police would like to hear from anyone with information about the case. Their number is 843-915-TIPS (8477).
