The $200,000 winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket we told you about earlier this week, has now been claimed by a Myrtle Beach woman.
According to the South Carolina Education Lottery, the woman says she plans to "stimulate the economy" with her winnings.
Lottery officials say the woman has been playing the same Palmetto Cash 5 numbers now for a month. She chose the numbers (1, 16, 22, 28, and 33) based on anniversary dates and lucky numbers on November 29. She purchased Power-Up for an additional $1, which multiplied the $100,000 winnings by "2" to $200,000.
"I'm really excited," she told lottery officials. "There will be big Christmas presents this year for sure."
The ticket was sold at the Kangaroo Express in Surfside Beach. They get a check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket.
