Saturday, the northern Pee Dee region of Boy Scouts of America hosted their annual fall camp out in Marlboro County.

This year's event took place at McArthur Farms in Bennettsville.

About 125 scouts camped out overnight and enjoyed today's activities.

Marlboro County Sheriff's officers showed the scouts how fingerprinting is done.

Local fire departments and EMS officials in the area put together a mock traffic accident to show the youngsters how the jaws of life are used to get crash victims out of cars.

Eric Hooper with Cub Master Pack 627 says, "they learned about the vehicles that are used to save lives, dogs that are used to track missing children or missing people or even when someone might break out of jail they use a blood hound to track them down."

The scouts received special badges for their participation.
