Around 1,500 people were at Conway's Halloween Carnival Thursday night.
Part of Third Avenue was blocked off for the celebration.
Plenty of kids were dressed up in costumes, played games, and went trick or treating in the stores.
Organizers were pleased with the crowd, and the event. Foster Hughes with the Conway Parks and Recreation Department said, "It's a great alternative for the middle of the week, especially before Halloween. The way Halloween is falling this year, Conway is encouraging Saturday night trick or treating, but we wanted to do something a little earlier than that, not to take away from the holiday. It's working out well for us."
Thursday night's event is part of the Conway Crawl which promotes bringing more visitors to the downtown area.
