Friday night, hundreds of people came out to the first ever Florence County Stump.

Florence Mayor Stephen Wukela hosted the stump.

House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn and democratic gubernatorial candidate Senator Vvincent Sheheen spoke at the event.

Sheheen says he's confident he will defeat his republican challenger, Representative Nikki Haley, on November 2nd.

Sheheen says "We've seen the polls the lead cut in half and Representative Haley continue to plummet in the polls, while we've been rising up.. we are headed to a victory on November 2nd if we can keep the momentum going."
