(AP) -- A group of South Carolina residents from a predominantly black neighborhood plan a march to protest the flying of the Confederate flag at one home.

Multiple media outlets reported residents of the Brownsville community in Summerville plan to march Saturday. About 270 people have signed a petition against the flag.

Annie Chambers Caddell has the flag on her porch and addressed town council Wednesday, fighting back tears and saying she is not a racist.

Caddell has flown the flag along with the American flag and has decorated her yard with Confederate insignia along with seasonal decorations.

Town officials say Caddell has a right to fly the flag and they won't force her to bring it down.
