A 35-year-old Dillon man remains in serious condition after he was shot several times in the lower part of his body Saturday night.

Deputies say the man and his girlfriend were in their home on Springhill Drive in the Sugar Hill community when three armed men forced their way inside.

Captain Cliff Arnette with the Dillon County Sheriff's Office says the men took some money before shooting the homeowner.

Deputies arrived on scene and dusted the home for fingerprints to gather leads on the suspects.

Arnette says they're not releasing the homeowner's name at this time for investigative purposes.
