A foreign exchange student from Russia was hit by a car and killed in Myrtle Beach Thursday evening.

Horry County Coroner Robert Edge says the accident happened at 6:53 p.m. Thursday on 21st Avenue North near Broadway at the Beach.

The 20-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's name has not been released, and police have not released any details about how the accident happened.
