Police in Sumter County have charged seven teenagers, including two football players, with a home invasion. They say the crime appears to be gang related.
Deputies say two of the suspects invaded a home on Amberwood Drive in Sumter, Friday. Officers say they demanded money from a woman inside and hit her across the face with a gun.
They left empty handed. Police arrested them in a car with five others.
According to the 2010 Crestwood High School football roster, Anthony Scarborough and Antwan Porcher are members of the team.
They, along with the five others, face burglary charges, which carries up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
