(AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden is visiting South Carolina to participate in the dedication of the Ernest F. Hollings Special Collections Library.
The White House announced on Wednesday that Biden will deliver the keynote address to mark the completion of the library located on the campus of the University of South Carolina.
The ceremony is scheduled for Friday at noon.
Joining Biden will be South Carolina Reps. James Clyburn and John Spratt.
The 88-year-old Hollings donated his personal papers to the university in 1989. Herb Hartsook, director of the university's political collections, said Hollings also helped convince former
South Carolina governors John West and James Edwards to donate their papers as well.
