Thursday night, a girl was bitten on the ankle by a raccoon at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach.
The raccoon came out of some bushes and bit her.
She was taken to the hospital, and as of 11:45pm the raccoon had not been found.
As always with animal bites, there is concern about the raccoon being rabid. You should always beware of wild animals acting tame and tame animals acting wild. Be sure to get your pets vaccinated.
