A former police officer has to spend some time in jail for violating parole.
Alan Shelley, 54, was banned from having firearms after his arrest for criminal domestic violence and unlawful conduct toward a child.
Deputies say they found firearms, ammunition and bullet proof vests at his home.
The Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services says Shelley now must spend 30 days in jail.
Shelley was an officer with Lake City and Darlington police departments.
