Friday is the 60th anniversary of the start of the Korean War. A war that's never officially ended.
On June 25, 1950 North Korean troops invaded South Korea.
In the three years of the war, more than 54,000 Americans were killed.
Some of the soldiers who returned feel like the government has always forgotten them.
"Sometimes it hurts, but we're going to be all right. Some of the bravest people I knew and will ever know fought the Korean War. Real heroes, even though they didn't get nothing but a good conduct medal, they're still real heroes," said Korean War veteran Mallard Braddock.
Somber ceremonies were held in Seoul, South Korea Friday, while the the communist government in the north marked the anniversary with a rally in the capital.
Tensions in the area are high again, because the North is accused of sinking a South Korean ship.
