Press Release - In an effort to raise funds for local breast cancer survivors, the 29th Annual Summer Kite Festival will be held June 18-19, 2010, on the beach in front of the Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort at 8400 Costa Verde Dr., in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The event will take place from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The kite festival is sponsored by Klig's Kites and McDonald's. Proceeds will benefit Caring In Our Lifetime, which was first organized in 1997 to raise funds for a local breast cancer survivor. The effort has continued annually to help many more survivors with their medical bills and other expenses related to breast cancer. Caring In Our Lifetime has raised more than $300,000 to help local survivors in Horry and Georgetown counties.
