The trial started Tuesday in the case of a former Coastal Carolina University football player charged in connection to a 2007 armed robbery.
Mario Tines, Michael Lackey and Joshua Readon are charged with armed robbery, 1st degree burglary and unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
In 2007, prosecutors say Tynes and the others broke into a home and pistol-whipped the victim.
State prosecutors began testimony on Tuesday.
