The Myrtle Beach Tea Party will hold its second annual Tax Day rally on Thursday April 15.
The event will coincide with hundreds of similar rallies throughout the country, including several in South Carolina and a large one in Washington, D.C.
The local event this year will feature a variety of speakers, patriotic music and singers.
Keynote speaker Bill Conner, a candidate for lieutenant governor, will discuss the relevance of the U.S. Constitution.
The First Congressional District candidates have been invited to attend.
The non-partisan event furthers the mission of the local group of volunteers to educate, inspire and empower citizens who are concerned about big government growth, big government spending and the taxes to pay for it all.
The Tax Day rally starts at noon in Chapin Park, at 16th Avenue North and Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.
