Wednesday was the deadline for Horry County Council chairman Liz Gilland to pay off a fine for a state ethics violation.

Gilland was ordered to pay $45,000 for failing to submit a finance disclosure report on time.

Gilland says she won't be able to pay it, and ethics commission attorney Cathy Hazelwood says nothing will happen to Gilland right now.

Hazelwood says the revenue department won't collect overdue fines until November.

Gilland says she plans to put on a christian music concert this summer to raise money for the fine.
