It was a nice day for a ball game Saturday afternoon, which worked out well considering it was opening day for the Grand Strand Miracle League.

Opening day games were held at Pepper Geddings Recreation Center in Myrtle Beach.

The league provides those with special needs the opportunity to play baseball while allowing everyone involved to be a winner.

The 2010 Miracle League season is still very young, so if you'd like to make a difference and volunteer with you still have time.
