Tuesday planning commissioners in Myrtle Beach rejected a plan to annex nearly 600 acres of land between Robert Grissom Parkway and 29th Avenue North.

No homes are included in the property, but it does contain Myrtlewood Golf Course.

The land is owned by Burroughs and Chapin Company.

City spokesman, Mark Kruea says the proposal will still go to the full city council for consideration.
