Many of the runners attended the Runner's Expo at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center Thursday.

More than 40 vendors are showing off their running-related merchandise.

Those participating in the marathon could also pick up their runner shirts and numbers.

The expo serves as the kickoff to the marathon events.

Jennifer Walters works with iRUNLIKEAGIRL. This is the second year they're participating in the expo. "It was so much fun last year. They got the beer going. They got music, and the people are so nice, and people come from other places trying to get out of the bad weather, and it's just a really fun atmosphere," Walters tells NewsChannel 15.

The Expo continues Friday.
