This week, the City of Myrtle Beach's newly elected public officials will officially take office.

The winners of this past November's Mayoral and City Council elections will be sworn into office on Tuesday.

Incumbents - Mayor John Rhodes and City Councilmen Randall Wallace and Wayne Gray, as well as newcomer Mike Lowder will all take their oaths.

The swearing in ceremony is open to the public and scheduled for Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at the Ted C. Collins Law Enforcement Center on 10th Avenue North and Oak Street in Myrtle Beach.

The ceremony will be followed by a city council meeting at 2:00.
