Exercise among many New Year's resolutions

There are many popular New Year's resolutions that people undertake.   Some of the most popular include being healthier and exercising more.

At Fitness Edge in Carolina Forest, employees say they see an up tick in memberships around this time of year.

"January 2nd through the 15th, people will start coming in, making it part of their New Year's resolutions -- eating right, working out and making it all part of their routine," said Adam Crawford, Membership Director at Fitness Edge.

While working out is a popular resolution, many can find it a difficult one to stick to.

Personal trainers at Fitness Edge tell NewsChannel 15 the key is to get in to a routine.

"I think people stick to it, its really just a matter of making it part of your routine as opposed to just a New Year's resolution - a change in lifestyle all together," said Fitness Instructor Erin Gehrke.
