If you've received an email from the Centers for Disease Control asking you to create your personal H1N1 profile, beware: that email is a hoax.
The email says if you've reached the age of 18, you have to have your personal vaccination profile on the CDC's website.
Officials with the Department of Health and Environmental control say they've received dozens of calls in reference to this email and they've confirmed it wasn't sent out by the CDC.
"The hoax does seem legitimate and it's actually got the CDC website which is cdc.gov, but that is not correct. CDC is not requesting any personal information or nor are the health departments requesting any personal information," said Suzete McClellan, DHEC Region 4.
DHEC officials say they never ask you to reveal your personal information on line.
