Despite the clouds and chilly weather Saturday morning, dozens of people took a walk to remember at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach.

It was the Alzheimer's Association's Memory Walk and it raised money and awareness for the disease that effects someone new every 70 seconds.

NewsChannel 15's Tim McGinnis emceed the event.

Alzheimer's hits close to home for many who walked this morning, including Darlene Park who recently lost her father to the disease.

She said, "you look out at the people here - the one's who've been have been diagnosed and the future baby boomers that it may happen to - it's frightening. The support is just wonderful.
